PLANNING & ZONING

The Planning and Zoning Board has five regular members and one alternate appointed by the Town Council. The Board reviews site plans within the Town. The Board also acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council and makes such studies and investigations as may be requested by the Town Council. The Board may, on its own initiative, or at the request of property owners, or the Town Council review and recommend changes to the Town’s Land Development Code.

The Planning and Zoning Board also serves as the Architectural Review Board for the Town. The Architectural Review Board reviews the architectural plans for proposed buildings in the Town to ensure that they are aesthetically compatible with the surrounding area, and to ensure that the buildings will not negatively affect the surrounding area.
