FUTURE WIDENING PROJECTS ALONG FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE PDF Print E-mail
We have posted the presentation made to Council and residents at the July Council meeting regarding the proposed widening projects along the Turnpike. The plan is to widen the Turnpike to eight lanes from exit 272 at Clermont all the way to I-75. Part of this plan affects a six mile stretch up to the new Minneola interchange and has four bridges that will need to be widened; in particular the bridge on CR 455 between Old SR 50 (Collina Bay) and Publix.

Pages 13 to 18 covers three distinct options as to how this can be achieved with the timeframe and effect on local traffic during construction. Although the project is not scheduled to start until 2021, it is in the planning stage now. Your input, cares, concerns, ideas and preferences are welcome and should be emailed directly to the FDOT. The email addresses are printed on page 1 of the presentation which can be downloaded by clicking this link.
