Widespread freezing temperatures and dangerous wind chills are forecast for the nights of Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, 2026. The arrival of an Arctic air mass will bring a high risk of wind gusts over 35 mph on Saturday afternoon and evening. Extremely cold wind chills are expected Saturday night, with a high potential for a hard freeze across a large portion of the area. The current forecast calls for near-record low temperatures at multiple locations on Sunday and/or Monday. Based on the current forecast, the lowest wind chills on Sunday morning are expected to range from 9° to 20° across east central Florida.
